Black slims out EVERYTHING. Wear clothes that fit you, and that are dark shades.

Vertical Lines (lines going up and down) that are thin do the same trick.

Pants that Overlap a little over the shoes make you appear taller, therefore slimmer.

If you’re looking to lose weight, just try walking outside for 30 minutes for at least 4 times a day. And cut your diet to about 5-6 SMALL meals a day. Drink ALOT ALOT ALOT of water.

Question by D: What summer clothes should I buy for a self-conscious pear shape woman?
I am in desperate need for a summer wardrobe! All my clothes are basically jeans with tops, I literally have zero fashion sense! I am a pear shaped size UK 10/12 19 year old girl and I have no idea what clothes would look good on me. I think because I am very self conscious about my legs which are like tree trunks, I believe I can’t wear anything but jeans.

What type of clothing should I be looking for to buy that would flatter my figure and my legs?

they have really good clothing items, and maybe a flirty midi dress?

Okay, I know what you mean!

I started wearing 511s, then 510s, then i figured out that the 518 girls jeans fit better, and now i have mostly 503 skinny and 504 slouch skinny…. They’re almost all the same size, so i get some of them on ebay. I haven’t bought one on ebay yet and have it not fit, so i’m really comfy doing that because i’m confident that they’ll fit.

I really like the junior’s 503 and 504, and the 518 skinny, and i have some 545 skinnies too, but again, all the same size. If you can find a junior’s stretch denim jean at some store and find a size that fits, that’ll probly be your size for online shopping also.

I have found that if you take your correct waist measurement and subtract 2-3 inches from it, you get your junior’s waist size. Your hip measurement should be the same as a juniors on the size chart. If I subtract 3 inches from my waist it puts my waist and hips in the middle of a 5, and that’s what size i take.

Keep in mind that everybody fits differently regardless of the measurements, like if we both wore 5s the legs and stuff could still fit you different than they fit me, even tho we’re the same size….

The Levi’s jeans in odd number sizes are for Juniors, with a slimmer build. Even numbers are for “Misses” or women, and usually have a wider butt/hips/thighs…. You might be able to wear one or the other, or both, but generally, if you’re a slimmer guy, you’ll take junior’s odd number sizes….

Once you find those, many other stores/brands will be the same size or very close to it. I wear the same size in Forever 21, Aero, Wet Seal, Anchor Blue, PacSun…. In stores like AE and A&F that use even numbers, nevermind that they’re for juniors, I take a number lower… so a 4 instead of a 5.

Stores like Forever 21 and Urban Outfitters that also use waist sizes in inches, it would be the junior waist in inches. Mine is 29 minus 2 is 27 (or so, depending on how i like them to fit).

Anyway, in a nutshell, that’s how they go. They all stretch nowadays, so most of them can fit snug like a girl would wear, or skintight (smaller) or slightly loose (like a casual fit but still very sleek and slim), and still be comfortable either way. But you have to try them all on because they all fit differently.
If you shop in the stores, sometimes you may have to try on several pairs in the same size to find one that’s a little tighter or looser w/o having to change the size.
If you shop online, make sure they have a return policy until you find the size you want.
